PROMOTION RULES

Please read through all the rules, by BBC Worldwide, before entering the competition

·         The promoter of this promotion (“Promotion”) is BBC Worldwide Limited of 201 Wood Lane, London W12 7TQ (“the Promoter”).

·         The prize (the “Prize”) is provided by BBC Worldwide Limited.

·         By participating in this Promotion, you agree to be bound by these rules and you warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe any such person has breached any of these terms and conditions. 

·         To qualify to enter the Promotion you must supply your full name and the competition answer by the date specified. Only entries submitted via YouTube’s private messaging to BBCWorldwide will be accepted. That does not include emails. All entries must be made by the closing date specified.

·         Only one entry per person per Promotion is allowed. No responsibility is accepted for ineligible, fraudulent, lost, delayed or incomplete entries.

·         No purchase is necessary for entry.

·         Any personal data submitted to the Promoter for the purposes of entering the Promotion will be used for the purposes of administrating the Promotion only, unless you have given your permission for such data to be otherwise used.

·         This Promotion is not open to employees or contractors of the Promoter, BBC Worldwide Limited, the BBC, other companies associated with the BBC, or any person directly or indirectly involved in the organisation or running of the Promotion or their direct family members or households. 

·         The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the Promotion or these rules at any time without prior notice. 

·         The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.

·         The Prize winner will be notified by private YouTube message and his/her name will be published on the BBC Worldwide YouTube channel. In the event that the prize notification is returned to the Promoter as “undeliverable”, a winner fails to claim a Prize within the time or in the manner specified or a winner is not able for whatever reason to accept the Prize (including because of disqualification), then the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to award the Prize(s) to another participant. Any further winner will be selected on the same criteria and will be subject to these rules. Failure of any winner to accept or take advantage of the Prize will not entitle that winner to any alternative Prize or benefit.

·         The Prize must be taken in the manner and within the time specified and cannot be deferred in the absence of the Promoter’s express written agreement. 

·         Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value at any time. 

·         Prizes are awarded at the Promoter’s discretion and no prizes will be awarded as a result of improper actions by or on behalf of any participant that might bring the Promoter and/or the BBC into disrepute.

·         Unless otherwise specifically stated, all taxes, insurances, transfers, travel expenses, spending money and other expenses (as applicable) are the sole responsibility of the Prize winner. 

·         Winners may be requested to take part in promotional activity and the Promoter reserves the right to use the names and addresses of winners, their photographs and audio and/or visual recordings of them in any publicity.

·         In consideration of the Promoter agreeing to consider participants in the Promotion, each participant hereby assigns to the Promoter the complete copyright and all other rights in the entry for the full period of copyright. The Promoter shall be free to assign such rights to third parties.

·         The Promoter cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant participating in the Promotion or as a result of accepting any Prize, including all direct, indirect and/or consequential loss or damage. Nothing shall exclude the Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence. 

·         This Promotion is covered by the laws of England and Wales.
