| Doctor
Who
Sting of the Zygons
The TARDIS lands the Doctor and Martha in the Lake District in
1909, where a small village has been terrorised by a giant, scaly
monster. The search is on for the elusive 'Beast of Westmorland',
and explorers, naturalists and hunters from across the country
descend on the fells. King Edward VII himself is on his way to
join the search, with a knighthood for whoever finds the Beast.
But there is a more sinister presence at work in the Lakes than
a mere monster on the rampage and the Doctor is soon embroiled
in the plans of an old and terrifying enemy. As the hunters become
the hunted, a desperate battle of wits begins - with the future
of the entire world at stake. Reggie Yates (Leo Jones in the TV
series) reads this abridged version of a story written by Stephen
Cole.

| Doctor
Who
The Last Dodo
Civilisations rise and fall, time moves on – and species
die out. Extinction is a fact of life in the universe. But extinction
doesn’t have to be for ever. The TARDIS arrives in the Museum
of the Last Ones – a facility dedicated to preserving the
final specimens of every species in the universe. But the exhibits
are going missing and with them the only chance of resurrecting
lost species. Can the Doctor solve the mystery before the curator
adds the last Time Lord to her collection? Freema Agyeman (Martha
Jones) reads this abridged version of a story written by Jacqueline
Rayner.

space craft and as the Doctor and Martha journey through the forest,
they find a mysterious, fog-bound village - a village traumatised
by missing children and prophecies of its own destruction. Adjoa
Andoh (who plays Francine Jones in the TV series) reads this abridged

| Maeve Binchy
No
Nightingales, No Snakes
Ireland is neither cursed with snakes nor blessed with nightingales,
and the characters in these five fully dramatised short stories
by Maeve Binchy occupy the same middle ground. In The Night
People Came In For Something That Was No Trouble, Cara's
envy of another couple's disingenuous ease at giving dinner parties
spurs her to plan the perfect 'casual' meal but things don't go
as she intended. In The Stepson Clare struggles to build
a relationship with her husband's son. Decisions at Sea
finds Tessa, an overlooked but good-natured secretary, heading
out on a cruise where she faces a big decision. In The Answer
Machine, Biddy decides that her family need an answering
machine so badly that she'll give it to them before Christmas
but by the time the big day arrives she has some regrets. Finally,
By the Time We Get to Clifden, involves Nessa and husband
Harry who find their plans to go on their annual holiday in Clifden
upset when neighbour Melly seeks their help. These full cast dramatisations
were specially adapted for BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour
and star Niamh Cusak, Sam Dale and Harry Towb.

Chicken Caesar; and the world's most mis-matched rally-driving
couple - 'Your voice makes me want to drive into a tree!'. Whether
sniping at 'citizen journalism', predictable radio plays or reality
TV, here are lots of silly and clever sketches, with laugh-out-loud
humour.

| Toby Hadoke
Moths
Ate My Doctor Who Scarf
This is a two-part non-audience version of Toby's successful 2006
Edinburgh show that is currently touring Arts Centres in 2007
as well as a Doctor Who convention in late 2006. Moths
Ate My Doctor Who Scarf is Toby's life story told along the
timeline of Doctor Who history, using smart comedic observations
and excerpts from his teenage diaries. These include how he coped
with being bullied, why he never got the girl, and later how being
such a fan helped to actually get the girl and end up with two
children who are now the envy of every kid in the playground,
all thanks to a geeky obsession.
