Give In! Winston Churchill's Greatest Speeches
Winston Churchill oversaw some of the most important
events the world has ever seen and was the most eloquent and expressive
statesman of his age. These speeches help reveal the man behind
the defiant orator and demonstrate why, in a national poll, Sir
Winston Churchill was voted 'Greatest Briton of All Time'. This
collection contains digitally remastered archive recordings of
the war-time leader's greatest speeches, selected and introduced
by grandson Winston S. Churchill. This historic volume includes
'Blood, toil, tears and sweat' - 'The Few' - 'This was their finest
hour' - 'We can take it!' - 'An Iron Curtain has descended' -

| The
Smoking Room
Set entirely in the smoking room of a large
company, this eight-part comedy series explores the personal foibles
and suppressed longings of an oddly assorted bunch of characters.
These individuals wouldn’t normally even socialise together,
but their shared love of nicotine provides a tenuous link between
them all. Originally aired on BBC3, this new CD version contains
all eight episodes complete and uncut. Meet the smoking-room fixture
with a passion for the postboy; the grouchy security guard; the
thick-skinned office Romeo; the terminally paranoiac; the divorcee
enjoying a new adolescence; an entirely self-centred emotional
wreck; the boss who wants to be popular; and the voice of reason
among all the madness.
