The BBC brand is renowned for integrity, quality, and some of the
most original entertainment in the world. BBC Worldwide enables
audiences in the UK and internationally to enjoy BBC content
through a wide range of media including magazines, digital
channels, books and DVDs.

On a daily basis our brand is connecting with millions of people
around the world and we have a responsibility to maintain and
honour the reputation for trust and quality built by our colleagues
in almost ninety years of the BBC's history.
For this reason we aspire to ensure our output is of the very
highest editorial and commercial standards.
In this way we hold true to the promise of the brand to our
audiences and consumers, continue to innovate and delight with new
content across new platforms and in doing all this, to deliver even
greater value back to the BBC.
OUR EDITORIAL GROUPS
We have an Editorial Leaders Group and an
Editorial Compliance Group to champion editorial
standards and deliver practical help and guidance:
- to identify areas where editorial training is required
- to discuss issues of editorial concern and develop editorial
standards for BBC Worldwide
- report regularly on the maintenance of these across
businesses
In addition, our Editorial Forum allows
editorial staff to meet together regularly to discuss issues that
affect our business.
Every one of us needs to make the right judgments at every level
of the organisation on a number of decisions on a daily basis. We
do this by making sure everyone understands the core values that
our brand represent; the Guidelines that guide our decision making;
the responsibilities in each area of the company's operations; the
editorial structure; and the key sources of advice.
