Chief Executive
Following the announcement of the resignation of Rupert Gavin as Chief Executive of BBC Worldwide Ltd on 16 July 2004, John Smith, Chief Operating Officer of the BBC, took over the role on an acting basis. On 18 March 2005, John Smith was confirmed as Chief Executive Officer of BBC Worldwide Ltd. Rupert Gavin resigned as a Director of BBC Worldwide Ltd on 25 August 2004.

Directors' interests
No Director had any interest in the share capital of BBC Worldwide Limited (the Company) at 1 April 2004 or 31 March 2005. No rights to subscribe for shares in or debentures of the Company or any other group company (the Group) were granted to any of the Directors or their immediate families, or exercised by them, during the financial year.
