In spite of an
extremely tough year for the industry, BBC
Worldwide has once again achieved record results.
BBC Worldwides sales from continuing
operations rose to £640 million. Our
profit before interest and tax rose to £32
million, and profit from continuing operations
rose to £44 million. We made a record
investment in BBC programmes, and returned
an impressive £123 million cash flow
contribution to the BBC. This is an increase
of 16% on the previous year, itself a record.
