Marcus Arthur

Marcus Arthur has been Managing Director of BBC Worldwide's Global Brands business since its inception in March 2008. Marcus began his career in advertising sales for Redwood Publishing, joining BBC Worldwide in 1991. In 1997 he moved from group advertisement manager of Lifestyle titles to become their Publisher, adding Top Gear, Natural History and Music titles. He joined the BBC Magazines Board in 2001 and the following year became Publishing Director of Radio Times.

Darren Childs

Darren Childs has been Managing Director, Channels since 2005. Prior to joining BBC Worldwide, Darren was Senior Vice President, International Networks, for Sony Pictures Television International, where he ran international networks in Europe, Middle East and Africa. He oversaw the company's six wholly owned channels and numerous joint-venture movie channels, including HBO, and was responsible for developing new channel investments.

Sarah Cooper

Sarah Cooper is the Chief Operating Officer of BBC Worldwide and Deputy CEO. Sarah leads a team responsible for the negotiation of all BBC Worldwide's major acquisitions, joint ventures and partnerships, as well as all regulatory compliance and rights acquisition by the company. Since 2008 Sarah has led the Technology team of BBC Worldwide responsible for technological development.

Paul Dempsey

Paul Dempsey is Managing Director of BBC Worldwide's Home Entertainment division and Chief Executive of 2 entertain. Paul's background in sales and marketing included eight years at Mars Confectionery followed by two years as Sales Director of Frontline Ltd, BBC Worldwide's magazine joint-venture business. He joined BBC Worldwide in 1998 as UK Sales Director and became Director of BBC Worldwide's Audio & Music business from its start in 2007.

Charlotte Elston

Charlotte Elston joined BBC Worldwide as Director of Communications in January 2010. She began her career with Edelman PR in London, and spent seven years at Brunswick, the international corporate communications agency. In 2003 she was appointed Head of Communications at Pearson plc and was Group Communications Director at Aegis Group plc 2005-2009.

Michelle Emmerson

Michelle Emmerson is Group HR Director, BBC Worldwide, responsible for all aspects of people strategy including reward, culture and employee relations. Michelle joined the BBC in January 2009 from EMI Music where she held a number of senior positions including Senior Vice President, Human Resources.

Wayne Garvie

Wayne Garvie joined BBC Worldwide as Managing Director Content & Production in 2006. He has an extensive career in television production, including Director of Broadcasting for Granada and Head of Entertainment and Features for BBC Manchester. Prior to joining BBC Worldwide, Wayne was Head of the BBC's Entertainment Group, responsible for creating hits such as Strictly Come Dancing. Wayne is a Visiting Professor of Media at the University of Chester and Chair of the Royal Television Society.

Helen Kellie

Helen Kellie is Director of Marketing for BBC Worldwide, joining in October 2008. She is responsible for marketing across the BBC Worldwide businesses, building the BBC Worldwide brand and prioritising its portfolio of sub-brands around the world. She was previously Director of Marketing Communications and Audiences for BBC Vision and she has also worked for household products company Reckitt Benckiser.

Steve Macallister

Steve Macallister joined BBC Worldwide as Managing Director Sales & Distribution in 2007. Steve began his career in advertising, later moving to television exports covering regions such as Europe, Asia and the Middle East with Walt Disney Television International. Prior to joining BBC Worldwide, he was Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Buena Vista International Television for the Asia Pacific region.

David Moody

DIRECTOR OF STRATEGY

David Moody is BBC Worldwide's Director of Strategy. Responsible for all aspects of the company's direction and objectives, he has led the team which has responded to internal and external reviews on the business. David was also Managing Director of Digital Media from 2004/05 to 2009/10. He began his career with strategy consultants The LEK Partnership and joined the BBC in 2002 as Commercial Director for BBC Ventures Group.

Peter Phippen

Peter Phippen, Managing Director of Magazines since 2001, is also Chairman of Frontline, Chairman of Bristol Magazines, Chairman of Park Publishing and of Worldwide Media our joint ventures in Australia and India. He is a Director of both Frontline and BBC Haymarket Exhibitions. Currently a Director of the international publisher's association FIPP and Chairman of the Periodical Publisher's Association's (PPA) audit committee, Peter joined BBC Worldwide from IPC as Marketing Director in 1987 and was President of BBC Worldwide Americas from 1998.

Herb Scannell

Herb Scannell was appointed as President of BBC Worldwide America in June 2010 and is responsible for the company's US business. Formerly Vice Chairman of MTV Networks and President of Nickelodeon Networks, he oversaw all creative and business operations for a portfolio of brands including number-one rated Nickelodeon, TV Land, Spike TV and Noggin. Herb was most recently CEO of Next New Networks, a digital media company he co-founded in 2006.
