Chief Financial Officer


Philip Vincent was appointed Chief Financial Officer at BBC Worldwide from 1st December 2010.

Philip was acting CFO from June 2010 until his permanent appointment to the role. Prior to this he held a number of positions in BBC Worldwide including Deputy CFO, Group Finance Director, Broadcast and Digital, and Finance Director for the Global Channels Division.

As CFO, Philip is responsible for leading and developing all aspects of BBC Worldwide's financial strategy, in particular the development of its five-year growth plan. He has held a number of positions in BBC Worldwide including Deputy CFO, Group Finance Director (Broadcast & Digital) and Finance Director (Channels).

He is Chairman of the Content Investment Committee, the body responsible for investing in BBC in-house and independently produced programming and acquiring multi-territory and multi-platform distribution rights. He is also Chairman of the Investment Review Group, which is responsible for the assessment and approval of all material levels of operational expenditure and investment across the Group, as well as all new business venture proposals. He is an executive director of the BBC Worldwide Board.

Philip joined the BBC in 1998, prior to which he was Financial Controller at Bunzl Disposables Limited. Philip qualified as a Chartered Accountant at KPMG, working in both London and New York.
